A Budget to secure the economic recovery of the North

Responding to today's Budget announcement, Nick Brown MP, Labour's Chief Whip and Regional Minister for the North East said;

"This is a budget for economic recovery. The strategy is the right one. It is particularly right for our region. The measures aimed at small and medium sized businesses have a disproportionately beneficial impact on the economy of the North East. The extension of the time to pay initiative and the extension of help for business liquidity are both proposals that the business community have made to me."
