Barry Coppinger is Police & Crime Commissioner for Cleveland.

Barry Coppinger has over 25 years experience of working with communities across Teesside as an active Labour Party member and local councillor. He represented Pallister ward on Middlesbrough Council and served as executive member for Social Care.

Barry previously served as portfolio holder for Community Safety on the authority and spent 8 years on Cleveland Police Authority. He was Chair of Cleveland Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership and Chair of Cleveland Joint Emergency Planning committee.
