Ed Miliband opens Labour Central

On Wednesday 16 November 2011, Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party visited our new Head Office in Newcastle to officially open Labour Central.

Labour Central is home to Head Office North, the National Communications Centre and Labour North Regional Office. Situated near the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, Labour Central represents a huge vote of confidence in the City of Newcastle and the Northern Region. Labour is the only one of the major UK wide political parties to base part of their HQ outside London.

To mark the official opening, Mr Miliband unveiled a plaque in the foyer area to mark the opening, toured the building and took part in a member’s event.
