After yesterday’s leaked Home Office paper exposed the link between Tory police cuts and the rise in serious violent crime, new Labour Party analysis of crime outcome data has shown that between 2014/15 and 2016/17 the number of investigations closed by the police without any suspect being identified increased by over 500,000 nationally.
