The health of the British economy is vital to the prosperity of every household in the country. Despite the Conservative Government’s promise to eliminate the budget deficit and rebalance the economy, the deficit remains substantial and the economy dangerously unbalanced. George Osborne’s eighth, and latest, Budget has done little to remedy this. It is clear that the Government’s short-term approach to economic management is putting our recovery at risk.

The National Policy Forum has made the economy a key priority issue for this year's policy development.

We're holding a special Regional Policy Forum to get your views on how we develop the North East and Cumbria's economy. We're pleased that Seema Malhotra MP, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury will lead the discussion.

We'll also have a briefing on the Labour IN for Britain campaign at the event - so you can find out how to get involved.

Refreshments will be provided. This is a FREE event.
