Regional Conference 2022
We are excited to announce that Labour North Regional Conference will be taking place in Newcastle in Spring 2022, and it promises to be our biggest yet.
Saturday 26th February – Sunday 27th February 2022
Delegates and visitors will hear from senior Labour front-benchers, have their say on policy, and brush up on their campaigning skills with the latest training seminars.

What is Regional Conference?
Labour Regional Conference is the biggest event run by the Labour North. It is an opportunity for members from across the North region to come together, hear from inspiring speakers, debate, discuss and shape our movement.
When is Regional Conference?
Regional Conference is a two day event on Saturday 26 February and Sunday 27 February 2022.
Where is Regional Conference?
This year the event is being held at Newcastle University.
Who can attend Regional Conference?
Members of the Labour Party from across the North region. There are many different ticket options.
What happens at Regional Conference?
The event is an opportunity to hear from high profile speakers from across our movement, attend campaigning training on running campaigns in your area, engage with debates on the biggest issues facing communities here in the North and attend workshops on key issues facing our movement. This year there will also be some elections for internal positions happening at Regional Conference.
Will there be campaigning training workshops at Regional Conference?
Yes. There will be training on running campaigns for members at Regional Conference, included in the price of your pass. Further details will be confirmed closer to the date of the event.
How do I get there?
The nearest train station is Newcastle Central. It is a 10 minute walk or 10 minute taxi from the station to Newcastle University.

Will the venue be wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the venue is fully wheelchair accessible
Can my enabler attend?
If you have a disability, you are entitled to apply for a free enabler’s pass on our website here.
Will be agenda be available in large print?
Yes. After signing up for Regional Conference, please let us know in advance if you require your conference agenda in large print and it will be available for collection with your pack at conference. There will also be large print agendas to collect at the party stand at conference.
Can my Branch or CLP run schemes to subsidise tickets for members?
Yes, we encourage this. We’re keen to make conference as accessible as possible and understand cost can be an issue
When will the agenda be announced?
Once you confirm your booking we will announce the agenda to attendees. The event will be all day on Saturday, finishing around 5PM. On Sunday the event will finish around 2pm.
Are crèche services available?
We are looking into options to provide crèche services at Regional Conference. Crèche providers often require a minimum number of registration prior to a booking. Covid safety measures
Everyone over the age of 18 attending Conference will be required to provide EITHER evidence of double vaccination or a recent negative lateral flow test (currently 24 hours from the test result)
Those registered with a GP in England can use the NHS app to receive a COVID pass, or request a paper version.
For those who have not been double vaccinated, proof of a negative lateral flow test can be used to gain access to Conference. Lateral flow test results must be reported to https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and the resulting email or text message can be used to access Conference. Delegates with the NHS app can access a COVID pass valid for 24 hours from a negative test. We will not accept photographs of negative tests. We will encourage Conference attendees to wear a facemask when in any Conference venue to provide reassurance to others, unless exempt.
We hope that the measures in place will provide reassurance to our delegates and visitors. If you can no longer attend due to the above measures, please contact Conference Services who can arrange a refund.
