What is Regional Conference?

Labour Regional Conference is the biggest event run by the Labour North. It is an opportunity for members from across the North region to come together, hear from inspiring speakers, debate, discuss and shape our movement.


When is Regional Conference?

Regional Conference is a two day event on Saturday 2nd March and Sunday 3rd March 2024.


Where is Regional Conference?

The event is being held at Newcastle University.


Who can attend Regional Conference?

Members of the Labour Party from across the North region. You can click the links above to apply to attend.


What happens at Regional Conference?

The event is an opportunity to hear from high profile speakers from across our movement, attend campaigning training on running campaigns in your area, engage with debates on the biggest issues facing communities here in the North and attend workshops on key issues facing our movement. This year there will also be some elections for internal positions happening at Regional Conference.


Will there be campaigning training workshops at Regional Conference?

Yes. There will be training on running campaigns for members at Regional Conference, included in the price of your pass. Further details will be confirmed closer to the date of the event.


How do I get there?

The nearest train station is Newcastle Central. It is a 10 minute walk or 10 minute taxi from the station to Newcastle University.


Young members

If you are under the age of 18 your parent or guardian must fill in the parental consent form and return to us which you can be downloaded here. You can read the code of conduct for members attending conference on the website here.


Will the venue be wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue is fully wheelchair accessible


Can my enabler attend?

Will be agenda be available in large print?

Yes. After signing up for Regional Conference, please let us know in advance if you require your conference agenda in large print and it will be available for collection with your pack at conference. There will also be large print agendas to collect at the party stand at conference.


Can my Branch or CLP run schemes to subsidise tickets for members?

Yes, we encourage this. We're keen to make conference as accessible as possible and understand cost can be an issue


When will the agenda be announced?

Once you confirm your booking we will announce the agenda to attendees. The event will be all day on Saturday, finishing around 5PM.  On Sunday the event will finish around 2pm.
